In this article I’m presenting a way of using functional programming in Python, highlighting some benefits and a few shortfalls. There are plenty of scholars out there; this is mostly a hobbyist’s perspective, so please don’t consider this to be the ultimate word.

On my desktop PC I’m currently running Fedora Silverblue 41, rebased to Bluefin-DX. On my laptop I have dual boot: Windows 11 and Fedora Workstation 41 with Hyprland. It took me significant time and effort to come here, though.

A few months ago I was exposed to Go, a new programming language (at least for me). Being well versed in some of the modern environments and frameworks, I usually don’t pay much attention to new languages, unless there’s something of interest to me. In this case, there was. In fact, there are some strong aspects in Go which I haven’t seen as frequently.
