Other than my own personal experience, half of what I learned about leadership came from watching cooking shows, particularly cooking competitions. On one such competition, multiple chefs were battling to become the head chef for a renowned restaurateur. At a given point, the restaurateur (who happened to be one of the judges) was asked about the expectations from the winner. The response was a master class in leadership: “I expect honesty, integrity, and soul.”

In this article I’m presenting a way of using functional programming in Python, highlighting some benefits and a few shortfalls. There are plenty of scholars out there; this is mostly a hobbyist’s perspective, so please don’t consider this to be the ultimate word.

On my desktop PC I’m currently running Arch Linux with MATE Desktop. On my laptop I have Fedora Silverblue rebased to Aurora DX. It took me significant time and effort to come here, though.

In fact, there are some strong aspects in Go which I haven’t seen as frequently.
